In 2008 it was the NHS (National Health Service) 40 year celebration of its birth. Wythenshawe Women’s Aid
Commission: to design posters and flyers for an outreach service to children affected by domestic violence. Focusing on a specific age range and locality. Input from families at the refuge, via drawings, informed the final design.
Manchester Pride “Frill of the Frock”
“Frill of the Frock” was a giant 6 metre high frock. Charlotte Newson designed the frock and the participant’s costumes with an Opera-Diva theme. Euro pride was held in Manchester in 2003, an international Gay Pride festival. Delinquents in Paradise
A 12 month project with 14 – 17 year olds: to develop writing and performance skills, including residential weekends working with the artists.
