Euro pride was held in Manchester in 2003, an international Gay Pride festival. As creative director for ‘Six in the Village’ Charlotte Newson was responsible for designing the OFFICIAL PRIDE PARADE entry. Themed on the freedom flag, participant’s costumes matched the flags colour sections. For example

  • Green – army (topical in terms of LGBT rights at that time)
  • Violet – lavender wedding theme
  • Red – Lips and cherries

The overall vision included a tank that fired flutter-fetti, a huge spikey inflatable created by the arts organisation ‘Space Cadets’ and giant round balloons.
