Charlotte’s Portraits of women entitled “Who are you now?” are currently being exhibited in central London Gallery - My Space -

The exhibition called Pandora’s Box runs until 24th May 2012.

The works of female survivors of violence and abuse who have used art as a means of finding hope and artists whose work raise awareness of the issue, feature in this collaboration between mental health charity Together and AVA (Against Violence & Abuse)

CHECK THIS OUT !!! an old ska song –”Hard Road to Travel”–by Jimmy Cliff covered by a superb up and coming and as yet unknown artist Rachel K Collier.

The lyrics of the song strike a cord with everyone but I think they are particularly apt in a women’s’ rights context.

The original Emmeline Pankhurst portrait is based at The Pankhurst Centre, Manchester.

It has recently been visited by the cast of Ghost the Musical who very much enjoyed their time at The Pankhurst Centre and support the “Women Like You” project.

Here we see Charlotte receiving her award for “Women in Art” at Manchester Town Hall 2011, presented by Dr Patricia Allmer Senior Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University - in recognition of her contribution to supporting women through the arts and her outstanding practice as an artist.

‘A Bouquet of Thoughts’ Women Authors – Manchester Day Parade, Our Rickshaw being pedalled around the parade route with another 40 women walking, in paper costumes and hats. We were the only entry to be lead by 5 women on disablitiy scooters!!
