This film extract covers the launch of ‘Women Like You’ – a portrait of Emmeline Pankhurst – at Manchester Art Gallery.
Thousands of images were sent in by people from all over the world to contribute to the creation of this photo mosaic which celebrates inspirational women.
Footage from the launch of the exhibition demonstrates the level of interest and engagement with the artwork and how important this artwork is to its contributors and in celebrating inspirational women internationally.
It is also the first contemporary artwork to celebrate Manchester born Emmeline Pankhurst – international icon and famous suffragette.
