As mentioned in earlier news due to Charlotte being nominated, Manchester City Council host an annual Women’s Award competition.
The ceremony this year will take place on 7th October 2011 at Manchester Town Hall and Charlotte will be taking along the portrait!
The impressive and unique image of Emmeline Pankhurst will be displayed along with work from the current Living Books project that, in partnership with Oxfam, has been developed to explore the impact of the public spending cuts on women.
A fitting tribute to a celebration of exceptional Manchester women!
The portrait will also be displayed at the Town Hall on 3rd March 2012 in conjunction with the People’s History Museum History week celebrations.
